Well, it has been almost a full year since I brought any more "strays" home and I think I am making it through recovery okay. Oh, but wait! On my way home from work one night I spot this little beauty sitting in the same exact place the 88 was sitting. Here we go again. Snap neck, hit breaks and turn around. I get out and look her over. Hmmmm, it's dark again. Looks okay, not quite as clean as the other 88 (I thought this one was an 88 too). Darned place is closed. Okay, back at lunch tomorrow. Need I say more? I found out that it was an '86 instead of 88 that next day. The fact it was dark and the way the car is painted had me fooled.
I have just gotten this car going again. I was able to enjoy her for 2 weeks until the alternator took a dump. A good friend who is also a Fiero nut, dropped a new one in for me and I have been driving it daily since.
I was at Advance Auto yesterday and spotted some nice flame kits and thought they wood look nice on this Fiero. I got them and couldn't wait to get them on. Now I see why they tell you to make sure the temperature is at least 60F before you put them on. I ended up splitting the biggest and most expensive pieces pulling them off the backing or re-positioning on the car. Well, looks like they will have to come off and replaced when the weather warms up!
